We are a small family business based in Newcastle in the UK and Istanbul in Turkey. Our Authentic Turkish Mosaic lamps create a warm ambiance of romantic intrigue. Use one lamp artfully displayed or collect a multitude for breathtaking impact. 



Mosaic lamps are hand made of coloured glass. None of the glass is painted or treated in any way. Metal parts of the products are made of brass and filigree .

 
Skilled fingers assemble square tiles of the glass into intricate patterns to create the magical effect of this lighting.  
The quality of this work is precise and the colour combinations are dazzling!
 
Even the smallest candle holders estimated construction duration is of 35 to 45 minutes.

 A History of Mosaic Lanterns

All around Anatolia, it is possible to come across the most beautiful examples of mosaic art made of fragments of tiles and pottery which, in history, was first applied by the Sumerians 5000 years ago.

​

The unique mosaics from the Roman and Byzantine Empires, which survived the historical events and natural disasters, are today on display in major museums of Turkey. Islamic architecture used mosaic technique to decorate mosques and palaces since the Arabs conquered the eastern provinces of the Byzantine Empire in the 7th century.

Turkey is known as the birth place of the mosaic lamp.
